Neb's Stuff

I recently went on a charity motorcycle ride to ground zero here in NYC and found it to be quite a moving event.   While riding down to ground zero all the people on the route were cheering and waving in support.  Many firemen and police were showing their support and we all stood as one, it all brought a tear to my eyes as I rode with 5000 strong.  When we arived at ground zero the people there were of all races, all creeds, all walks of life, cheering for our support.  As we first pulled up, the line of motorcycles paused for a moment then with a twist of the throttle we made our salute to those we lost with the thunder of our exhaust echoing in the canyons of the city.  The tragic event on 9/11/01 touched me close to home, although I didnt lose anyone in my family I lost people that were associated with my life one way or another.  I always remember growing up with the twin towers first on paper then slowly rising to be the icons that they were.  I recall Phillip Petite stringing his wire between the buldings and walking the truly high wire just to name an event that comes to mind.  The view from my home county would always draw my attention to the NYC icons.  So for the history in my mind, the view that will never fade from memory, the people who lost their lives, the brave men and women who fought to save those trapped I will ALWAYS remember.  To those who bring terror to our world may you always be looking over your shoulder for the wrath of God will one day come down upon you.  My wish is for peace to everyone on this planet, may we all love one another and pull together to better our world.  God bless you all!
